An End to the War in Afghanistan
President Biden has recently announced that he intends to bring the War in Afghanistan to an end. In 2015, my poem Snow Over Kabul, was published at The 5-2: Poems on Crime. An excerpt of the poem is below. Read the entire poem, and access a recorded reading, at this link.
SNOW OVER KABUL: THE BAGRAM AIRBASE BOMBING
That old white man,
he told the talk show host
he was celebrating as he flew
in the doomsday machinehigh over the Atlantic Ocean
on his way to Kabul from New York City.Even from that altitude
he thought of building on
a war, built for decades
on shifting sands.

Three Line Poetry
As a writer, and in most things, I like to be succinct. Poetry is very accommodating to this lifestyle. This week, for National Poetry Month, I am sharing work from Three Line Poetry from Prolific Press. My pieces appear in Issues 1, 10, and 22 along with the works of many other wonderful poets. You can get copies of the books here.
